The North Wall Gallery serves a dual purpose, both as an art gallery with regularly changing exhibitions throughout the year, and as a foyer for the theatre. There are 3 main walls of varying dimensions, plus two smaller areas around a central stairwell – all dimensions can be found on the floorplan, downloadable below. All downstairs walls are made of white-painted MDF, suitable for a wide variety of hanging methods. Smaller-scale or more intimate work is also occasionally programmed into the upstairs foyer, with certain restrictions owing to décor.
Exhibitions are sometimes sought out proactively, and the North Wall has an interest in working with emerging artists and graduate programmes, and those that offer added educational benefit to art students and the general public. Otherwise, decisions are made by our Gallery Programmer about received submissions. The Gallery is frequently programmed 6 – 9 months in advance.
Artists who wish to exhibit their work in the Gallery are asked to submit an application to the General Manager Sherrell Perkin, who can be contacted on 01865 319457 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
