The North Wall Gallery serves a dual purpose, both as an art gallery with regularly changing exhibitions throughout the year, and as a foyer for the theatre. There are 3 main walls of varying dimensions, plus two smaller areas around a central stairwell – all dimensions can be found on the floorplan, downloadable below. All downstairs walls are made of white-painted MDF, suitable for a wide variety of hanging methods. Smaller-scale or more intimate work is also occasionally programmed into the upstairs foyer, with certain restrictions owing to décor.
Applying for an Exhibition
Most exhibitions at the North Wall last between 2 and 4 weeks. The gallery is programmed by the Visual Arts Programming Committee who meet roughly every 3 months. There is a hire charge to exhibit in the gallery, further details of which will be discussed upon application / offer of a slot. All exhibitions are subject to a selection process, and will be programmed in line with the artistic policy and ethos of the North Wall.
If you wish to apply for an exhibition slot, please complete the downloadable form below, and send it in the first instance to Sherrell Perkin on firstname.lastname@example.org, with as much additional information as you consider relevant, (extended proposal, artist CVs etc.) and, crucially as many images of the work you wish to display as possible. Applications may be in any format, hard copy or electronic, with images on paper, disk or provided as website links.
