Box Office Sales & Transaction Fees
Tickets can be booked in person at the theatre, over the telephone, or online. We accept all major credit cards, except for American Express.
When booking by credit or debit card, either over the telephone, online or in person at the box office, a £2 transaction fee is applicable, unless you are booking a single ticket – in which case, the transaction fee is capped at £1.
We made the decision to increase our booking fee from £1 to £2 per transaction on 28th June 2016 to coincide with the installation of a new box office software. The transaction charge exists to support the running costs of The North Wall’s box office: as ticket revenue is divided between many different parties, the transaction fee needs to be separated out.
We will continue to charge a ‘per booking’ charge, not ‘per ticket’, which makes our charges lower than many other theatres. We will continue to tell you about these charges, whether you are booking online, over the phone or at the counter.
Please note: there is no transaction fee for customers who pay for their tickets with cash.
Ticket Exchanges and Refunds
We regret that tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged. We will however accept tickets for resale only after all of the venue’s own tickets for that performance have been sold.
Tickets can be reserved up to 48 hours before a performance. The North Wall box office will hold reservations for 48 hours, and if not paid for within that time, will be released back on sale.
For certain shows, one free ticket will be offered for every ten tickets booked.
Please note the following terms and conditions:
- A reservation of more than 10 tickets is seen as a confirmed commitment to attend a performance by your group. In the event of cancellation of 50% or more of the tickets booked at any time after the reservation date, you will be charged a fee equating to 50% of the price of the tickets affected.
- In addition any payment not received by the agreed ‘due by’ date will result in tickets being released for sale elsewhere.
Customers are advised that latecomers are admitted at the discretion of the visiting company and of the front of house manager. If a production company has a policy of not admitting latecomers into the auditorium, The North Wall will advise customers at point of sale or at the earliest possible opportunity by email.
Tickets are available for most performances at a concessionary rate for the following patrons: over 60s, under 18s, full-time students (with valid NUS/School ID), unwaged, registered disabled.
Babes-in-arms (children under 2 years old) are welcome at family theatre performances. Please contact the box office on 01865 319450 if you would like to bring anyone under the age of two so that we can set aside a free ticket for them. Children aged 2-15 years old require their own ticket, which will be at full price, unless a children’s concession is available at the time of booking. Accompanying adults may be asked to remove any children who are disturbing the performance.
