Front of House Supervisor / Admin Assistant
Permanent full-time (Salary dependent on experience)

As the Front of House Supervisor, you will work alongside the Front of House manager to run The North Wall’s front of house operations, deputizing for them in their absence; and assisting with a range of day-to-day administrative and marketing tasks.
The post-holder will cover Duty Management shifts for performances and events as required, supervising FOH volunteers and overseeing bar operations, with additional responsibility for handling box office and bar takings, stewarding Gallery exhibitions and maintaining the safety and security of the building.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a busy public-facing role, with the ability to take charge, lead and manage situations involving many different people. A calm, capable manner and a strong commitment to giving all visitors to The North Wall the best possible customer experience are essential.

If you offer technical theatre or equivalent experience, particularly in the use of lighting and sound systems, this position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role supporting performances and events at our award-winning arts centre.
As the Theatre Technician, you will work alongside the Technical Manager and a second Theatre Technician in maintaining a very high standard of technical service to all incoming theatre companies, artists and hirers of the building and various in-house training, outreach and production projects. You will also support in serving the technical requirements of curricular and extra-curricular Drama at St Edward’s School and possibly support taking productions on tour and to festivals for certain periods of the year.
The successful candidate will need to have an all-round understanding of and competence in theatre technical work, including lighting, sound and audio-visual, and the set-up, operation and basic maintenance of technical equipment in the North Wall Theatre and other performance spaces within the building.
