Work With Us

Theatre Technician

Salary: £28,500 per annum
Hours: Full time
Contract: Permanent
Required: September 2025

If you offer technical theatre expertise, a passion for the arts, and are excited about working on a busy calendar of productions, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at an award-winning arts centre in Oxford.

As a Theatre Technician at The North Wall, you will work alongside the Technical Manager and a Senior Technician to provide technical services to all incoming theatre companies, artists and hirers of the building and various in-house training, outreach and production projects.

You will provide technical support to the Drama department at St Edward’s School for productions, projects and exams.

You will need to have an all-round understanding of and competence in technical theatre work, including lighting, sound and audio-visual, with the ability to set-up, operate and maintain technical equipment.

If you’re passionate about innovative theatre and supporting new artistic voices, we would be delighted to hear from you.

This is a full-time position, working 40-hours per week. The role requires regular evening and weekend working, and a flexible approach is essential as hours will vary on a week-to-week basis. Occasionally, additional hours may be necessary, and time off in lieu will be provided.

The successful candidate will start in September 2025 subject to the satisfactory completion of the necessary recruitment checks.
