The North Wall is looking for an outstanding and talented individual who will lead the arts centre to new levels of artistic achievement with passion, invention and dedication. The Director will report to the North Wall Trustees and will be responsible for managing the venue’s resources, artistic programming and marketing and for working with St Edward’s School and other educational/vocational establishments to seek opportunities for young people to be involved in the arts.  The School has recently built a new Music School with a 120 seat recital room and there will be scope for the Director to work with School staff to explore opportunities to expand and diversify the North Wall’s programme to include this new hall.

The successful candidate will be a confident and persuasive leader with excellent communication skills, able to inspire and motivate pupils, staff, audience, artists, donors and other stakeholders.  He/she will have proven ability to collaborate and work in partnership with others, experience of setting an artistic vision and programming, and a track record of generating income from a variety of sources.

This role will afford the new Director an exciting opportunity to consolidate the art centre’s great success and to further develop the diversity of the North Wall’s programme, making it a proud element of St Edward’s and Oxford’s identity.
