Inspired by the true story of a young offender from Glasgow who had committed a violent crime, Blackout is about getting bullied, fighting back, trying to make a name for yourself, turning vicious, doing something stupid, losing everything, then finding your way again.
Built in 2007, The North Wall Arts Centre houses a 200-seat theatre and gallery/bar space, with a dynamic programme that places an emphasis on new and innovative work. Our goal is to provide a fantastic venue where Oxford theatre-goers can access the best of contemporary fringe theatre & new writing, comedy shows, music gigs, kids’ theatre, and our own North Wall productions.
Our Oxford theatre venue is the perfect place to come for your evening or weekend entertainment. We have hosted some of the biggest names in comedy, as well as keeping our audiences entertained with cutting-edge drama and live music performances.
We are also renowned for our residential outreach work, aiming to nurture talent in young people in Oxford and across the UK who have a passion for the visual & performing arts.
