Following the success of previous Art Late evenings, The North Wall Arts Centre, the Sarah Wiseman Gallery and Turrill Sculpture Garden are delighted to present another sociable evening of exceptional art and conversation on Oxford’s South Parade, Summertown on Thursday 23 May.
The evening begins outside the Summertown Library where Sarah Wiseman will give two informal, introductory talks at 5:45pm and 6:15pm about South Parade’s rich artistic offerings and history. You are then free to visit each of the exhibitions where you will also find our local wine shop, Grape Minds, offering different wines to taste.
There are three outstanding exhibitions to explore:
- Duncan Montgomery and George Townsend’s Parson’s Pleasure and the Ponds at The North Wall Arts Centre
- Narratives from Nature at the Turrill Sculpture Garden featuring work by Julia Beer, Guadalupe Charlone, Veronica Dudley, Nick Foot, Liz Judge, Isabel Knowland, Anthony Lloyd, and Maisa Stolz
- Daniel Ablitt’s new collection Quietude at the Sarah Wiseman Gallery alongside ceramics by Illyria Pottery
Complete an Art Late flyer with stamps from each gallery to be entered into our prize draw. Prizes this year are:
- An art-K voucher for a 2 hour art class
- A £50 voucher for Bia on South Parade
- A woodcut print by Duncan Montgomery
We look forward to seeing you there!
