Catalyst is the cornerstone of our commitment to new writing for the theatre. This residential project offers in-depth professional development to young writers and directors aged 18-25.
Catalyst 2021 took place from 6-10 April 2021. The early-career artists selected worked with an ensemble of professional actors to create new work.
The Catalyst Writers were mentored by Tom Brennan and Sam Potter, and the Catalyst Directors were mentored by John Hoggarth.
This year’s project consisted of a 3 day in-person residency, 2 days of digital workshops and the production of for audio dramas for Alchymy Festival 2021:
