The National Theatre Connections festival is a celebration of young people, theatre-making and the importance of access to the arts.
The North Wall is proud to play host to this annual celebration of new theatre for, by and with young people. Each year the National Theatre commissions ten new scripts for young people, written by some of the UK’s best playwrights. Hundreds of school and youth theatre groups up and down the country take part – transferring their play from their own school hall or theatre to a professional theatre as part of the process.
The North Wall will be welcoming 6 local companies to perform their plays to a public audience across the Festival weekend.
Tickets for individual NT Connections shows will go on sale at the end of March 2020.
Connections is supported by The Mohn Westlake Foundation, The Buffini Chao Foundation, Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, Delta Air Lines, The Peter Cundill Foundation, Mactaggart Third Fund, The EBM Charitable Trust, Samantha and Richard Campbell-Breeden, Susan Miller and Byron Grote, The Broughton Family Charitable Trust and Katie Bradford.
