Robin Stewart’s work creates the feeling of an alternative world into which any of us might easily slip. The paintings, as we live with them, provoke questions about who we are and what we are doing. The collages are rhythmical, and the drawings give the people they depict a sense of timelessness.
Robin, who lives in Oxford, studied art at Belfast College of Art, after which he was awarded a Boise Scholarship. He then studied for a year at The Slade and a further year at Camberwell College of Art.
