Panel Discussion

Class & Opportunity in British Theatre

With the pandemic highlighting the divide between those that can afford to survive in the arts, and those that can’t, how do we make sure that the arts are truly for everyone? If you have no financial backing or built-in-network, how do you develop your craft and turn a passion in to a career?

Chaired by journalist Lyn Gardner (The Stage, Stagedoor App) in conversation with Matthew Xia (Artistic Director, ATC Theatre), director Matthew Dunster and Neil Griffiths (CEO & Co-Founder, Arts Emergency).

This panel discussion will be hosted online in a Zoom webinar format – you need to have the Zoom app downloaded to your device to watch.

Co-hosted with the Cameron Mackintosh Fund for Contemporary Drama at the University of Oxford.
