Following the success of previous Art Late evenings, The North Wall Arts Centre, the Sarah Wiseman Gallery and Turrill Sculpture Garden are delighted to present a sociable evening of exceptional art and conversation on Oxford’s South Parade, Summertown this September.
The Society of Wood Engravers present their 84th Annual Exhibition at The North Wall (6 September – 1 October), an entirely new selection of over one hundred wood engravings, linocuts and woodcuts by some of finest printmakers from this country and abroad.
The Sarah Wiseman Gallery presents Spellbound (10 September – 1 October), an exploration of myth and landscape by two prominent contemporary artists: Daniel Ablitt and Flora McLachlan.
The Turrill Sculpture Garden presents Fusion (3 September – 5 November), an exhibition of metal sculpture by Bruce Garside, Wilbur Heynes and Christopher Townsend. Bruce is an artist-blacksmith who brings his dancing leaves to the Turrill. Wilbur is showing a work inspired by Bernini’s Neptune and Christopher Townsend returns with some of his Wychwood Oak and other nature-inspired forms.
