Our friends Pigfoot Theatre are looking for a Creative Climate Champion to work with in Oxford in the run-up to their performances of HOT IN HERE on 13 & 14 October 2022.
About the Company
Pigfoot make multi award-winning theatre about the climate crisis, with the least carbon impact possible. Their new show HOT IN HERE (an energy-generating dance party) celebrates action taking place around the world for climate justice.
They are looking to work with someone aged 16 – 25 based in Oxford interested in using creativity to take climate action as they tour HOT IN HERE to North Wall Arts Centre in autumn this year.
This person will work with them to co-design & co-facilitate a creative workshop in Oxford on local climate action, as well as being given the tools & support to lead their own local environmental event.
The Creative Climate Champion will join a network of 12 other Creative Climate Champions from areas across the UK to form a community of creative climate leaders. They will also receive monthly mentoring sessions from Pigfoot throughout the following year.
Fee:
£150 for 15 hrs work @ £10/hour. This is a development and training opportunity, and will include ongoing mentorship and support from Pigfoot.
Dates:
Work will take place from mid September – with dates to be agreed mutually.
Person Specification
● Interest in climate issues & climate justice
● Interest in creativity (whatever that means to you!)
● Age 16-25
● Based in Oxford
