VOLUNTEERING at
the North Wall
The North Wall operates with
four full-time staff, and a number of volunteer helpers. Volunteers to join the front-of-house team for our annual
programme of events are always welcome. So too are those who may be able to commit themselves to the busy festival
period in early July. All enquiries about our volunteer schemes should be made to the manager, Nick Quartley,
on 01865 319452,
or by e-mail to nrq@stedwards.oxon.sch.uk
The building of the North Wall was completed in 2006. It was funded by St Edward's School, with support from benefactors and friends, many of whose names are recorded in the building, and to all of whom we remain immensely grateful.
Its mission is to enrich the lives of young people with arts projects and performances,
and to engage the interest of the local and wider community with arts events of a high standard. The North Wall was
opened to the public in July 2007 with a Summer Festival, followed by a residential Drama Summer School for 16-19 year
olds from across the country. It is intended to run both these events again in 2008.
We are looking for financial support (both corporate and individual) in these two endeavours, and in other arts
projects in the coming year. Specific areas of support would be:
Becoming a principal
sponsor of the Summer Festival or the Summer School.
Sponsoring an event at the Festival or during the
coming year.
Sponsoring a child at the residential Summer
School.
Funding a workshop.
Advertising in the Festival programme.
Other ways of supporting the North Wall are 'Naming a Seat' and 'Signing a brick'.
The North Wall manager, Nick Quartley, will be happy to deal with initial enquiries
about support of this kind:
