Our ’Edinburgh or Bust’ week at the North Wall brings previews of seven shows on their way to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010.

First published in 1633, John Ford’s revenge tragedy explores the incestuous love of Giovanni and Annabella. This adaptation combines the original text with an experimental, multi-media theatrical perspective, in order to interrogate the internal manifestations of love, lust and obsession that are embedded within the moral ambiguity of Ford’s narrative.

This production won two awards at the 2009 Teatralny Koufar International Student Theatre Festival in Minsk, Belarus: Best Actress for Jessica Bayly for her role as Annabella and Best Supporting Actress for Victoria Aubrey-Rees for her role as Putana. It has also been seen in 2010 at the Salisbury Playhouse and at the International Student Theatre Festival in Quebec.
