Tomahawk Theatre Company
Thu 17th - Sat 19th Dec 09
’I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.’ - Oscar Wilde
Following their critically acclaimed production of Gaslight, Tomahawk Theatre return to the North Wall with Oscar Wilde’s satire on late Victorian society, his most enduring and popular play. Enjoy Algy’s and Jack’s hilarious antics as they struggle to maintain fictitious identities in the pursuit of love.
Tomahawk’s sumptuous production will offer a great evening of entertainment in the run-up to Christmas and provide the perfect antidote to short December days.
Tomahawk Theatre is a semi-professional company that combines the talents of professionally-trained actors and technicians with members of Oxford University Drama Society. Past productions include Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, The Winter’s Tale and Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler.
I can pay no more generous compliment to Oxford’s Tomahawk Theatre Company for their production last week of Gaslight than to say I found it fully the match of the Old Vic’s.
