The North Wall has been created for the benefit of:

The local community
This brand new complex, built and maintained to the highest standards, offers a wide range of opportunities through its stimulating and varied programme of theatre and music events, and art exhibitions.

The professional arts
The creation of The North Wall, with its fully flexible theatre, offers professional companies and performers a valuable and exciting space, adding to Oxford's cultural strength and diversity.

Schools
Schools, locally and nationally, will be invited to visit and work at The North Wall: in 2007, following national auditions, students aged 16-19 were selected for a residential drama school which took place in August. In addition, The North Wall's website will keep the wider public informed of its programme of arts events.

St Edward's
As well as creating a dynamic environment for teaching, The North Wall will further strengthen the links between St Edward's, its surrounding community and the wider world of the arts, providing a vibrant, inclusive and 'real' environment for its students.
