Theatre Entrance
There is an 8cm step from road level to pavement outside
the main entrance. Alternatively, there is a ramped pavement
30 yards to the east.
Gallery and Box Office
The Gallery and Box Office are open from 11am to 4pm on weekdays only, and from 11am to curtain-up on
performance days.
Levels
Ground Floor:
Box Office, Gallery/Foyer, Dance Studio and Theatre (stalls and lower gallery).
1st Floor: Theatre (upper gallery).
2nd Floor: Drama Studio.
3rd Floor: Technical Gallery.
A staircase and a lift give access to all levels.
The Bar
The bar is situated in the Gallery, to the left of the stairwell. It is normally open 30 minutes before a
performance, and during the interval.
Toilets
Gentlemen's and Disabled Toilets are in the foyer on the ground floor, and Ladies' Toilets are on the 1st
floor.
The Auditorium
The auditorium is a flexible space, with a variable capacity. Stalls seats all have backs to them; most gallery
seats consist of padded benches with a padded bar on which to lean.
Those who require a backed seat should make their preference clear at the time of booking.
Wheelchairs
A maximum of four wheelchairs can be accommodated at any one performance. Please let the Box
Office know of your requirements when booking.
Hearing systems
The theatre is equipped with both induction loop and infra-red systems. Those who wish to use
the infra-red system should collect a headset from the Box Office, and return it at the end of the performance.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in The North Wall.
St Edward's School, who own and manage The North Wall, have a no-smoking policy on their campus. Visitors to
the North Wall who wish to smoke may therefore only do so in South Parade.
